I. Well, believe it or not, if you go to UofT’s Robarts, and return a huge pile of books, among which Buddhist philosophy: essential readings, edited by William Edelglass & Jay L. Garfield [electronic resource] and Environmental philosophy in Asian traditions of thought, edited by J. Baird Callicott & James McRae, and if a certain young lady “C” happens to be at the desk, you might hear something like “Oh, you’ve been reading really interesting stuff!!!”, followed by an encouraging recommendation to visit an exhibition at the ROM (remember the really fascinating one that was on for a short time?)
- The Forbidden City: Inside the Court of China’s Emperors
MORAL: Expect genuine interest in who you are, what you do, and Get it, too 🙂
II. And if you stop for a snack at the Spadina & College Tim Horton’s you may be greeted by a couple of young women offering TH gift certificates,
- one of whom shares her amazement at how suspicious people tend to be of… simple kindness: They would either take it for soliciting $$$, or making a pass at them…
WHY, do you think?
- and the other re meeting kind and responsive people while doing the CIBC-Tim Horton’s Visa promo: That’s what makes it worthwhile 🙂 🙂 🙂
MC says: WHY NOT, indeed?
