Film screenings that explore the complex relationship between

social justice, spirit and activism

Join us for a screening of Everyday Rebellion, a celebration and examination of the ways non-violent protest and civil disobedience creatively manifests. The film explores forms of peaceful protests that have been occurring in recent years throughout the world as well as the significance of peaceful activism in establishing sustainable societal change.

We are living at a critical time on the planet, the possibility of life being able to thrive again is being called into question. Given that, it is essential that we choose to use our agency in a way that challenges the structures which threaten the collective livelihood of the planet. Everyday Rebellion has been inspiring this message throughout the international film festival circuits this year and now Conscious Activism Documentary Series is lucky to share it with Toronto! The screening will be followed by a discussion of the film amongst the audience and the Conscious Activism Committee.

  • When: Wed., Nov. 19, 2014, 6-9 pm
  • Where: Debates Room, Heart House
  • Cost: Free
